We’re actively seeking passionate volunteers to join us in teaching English to children in government schools and local organizations. At Future Nepal, we understand that children are the future of our nation, and we’re committed to supporting their education. We’ve partnered with several schools and children’s resource centers, serving kids aged 8 to 16.
In each classroom, you’ll find around 30-40 eager learners, and we encourage our volunteers to follow the standard curriculum based on students’ textbooks. However, we also value your creativity and encourage you to develop your own lesson plans. To make learning engaging and enjoyable, we recommend bringing teaching materials like picture books, musical instruments, flashcards, art supplies, and songs.
Moreover, our Resource Center is a vital community hub, offering library resources and English language programs to local members. We run multiple three-month English classes for both youth and adults, accommodating individuals with varying proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced learners. These programs also offer foreign English teachers a fantastic opportunity to enhance their conversational English skills.
Join us in this rewarding journey of teaching English in Nepal. Your contributions will make a significant impact on the lives of these children and the local community. It’s a meaningful experience that not only benefits them but also provides you with valuable teaching opportunities in the heart of Nepal.
“Ilaria Rimondi (Italy)
I have been for a week in a village in Dhading district. I was hosted by a wonderful local family with 2 lovely children. The village was located in the middle of rice terraced hills and forest, incredible landscapes! In the village there were small bazaars for basic necessities and the city with all services is 15-20 minutes away by motorbike. During the day I usually held English lessons and took part in some activities the family was involved in, such as helping with small agricultural jobs or watch them preparing traditional food. They also took me on a short trek in a beautiful panoramic area from which you can admire the Himalayas mountain. It was a very intense experience that allowed me to come into contact with the local reality and taste a bit of the Nepalese life. Both Durga and the family I was staying with were always very kind and helpful to me. I hope to return to Nepal soon!”

My experience in Nepal was very eye-opening and exciting I saw a lot of new places, meet a lot of new people and get to know their culture. I feel like I helped a lot of people as well and made an impact. I especially enjoyed teaching English to monks and children and see them progress.”
